Todays Game/ Team Dinner

Summer Lacrosse

Hi All,
Just to be sure, Varsity at 4 and JV at 530 today and no 1st team practice. There is also a team dinner Sunday night at Carol Clark's house at 530. I cannot be there as I will be at the SMAA All-Conference meeting.

I have also given our game tapes to Scarborough TV so they should be playing on channel 3. If anyone would like to purchase copies of the game tapes, let me know.

And if there are any juniors planning to play lacrosse in college, let me know so I can help with anything you need.

And I have received a lot of info on summer lacrosse, camps, leagues, teams, etc.
I am pretty sure I will be helping out with both of the summer leagues.

Sorry for not getting this out yesterday, but my laptop at home has stopped working. The game tonight is Varsity only. It will be the same group that played last time against Freeport. JV/1st team will practice at 330. Starting June 2nd JV/1st team will practice together and Varsity will practice alone. The boys will be notified which practice to go to this week. Tuesday June 3rd is senior night and all seniors will dress for the varsity game.

Week of 5/19

Team Dinner,1st Team Game,Volunteer

Hi All,
First, there is a team dinner tonight for all teams. Anyone who orders stuff from Atlantic Sportswear will be able to pick that up tonight. Second, 1st team is scheduled for a game on Saturday. Somehow I missed that it was on Memorial Day weekend, so I need to know how many boys would be able to make it. Anyone that cannot will not be held accountable as I know I told you all that we would the whole three days off unless of a rescheduled game. So 1st team players, please let me now if you can or cannot make it A.S.A.P. so that I can know if we will have enough boys for a game. Third, I am trying to get the JV game moved to 5 pm for tomorrow night so that both teams have equal time to get ready before their games.
Last, I need a parent volunteer to do the penalty box for tomorrow night Varsity game.

Summer Lacrosse

Hi All,
Hope you have enjoyed the time off. We get back going tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 for 1st team and 4:00 for the JV/V. Friday night we will have meet the Red Storm, all players will practice together and all parents are invited. Parents will get a chance to come onto the field and see what we do at practice as well as watch a short inter squad scrimmage. Remember that the 24th the parent volunteers will be helping me the helmet stickers at 6 p.m. in the locker room. Volunteer Clarification

HEADstrong

Hi All,
Just wanted to clear up a couple things.
1st: The volunteers I need for next Thursday are to help put stickers on the boys helmets. The team dinner on the 28th is all set.
2nd: I need a couple volunteers to help with the game clock and the penalty box for all of our home games. Preferable it would be the parent of a JV/1st Team player to do the varsity games and a parent of a varsity player to do the JV games. This is so that all parents can enjoy the game that their son is playing in.
I really appreciate all your support.

Also, just wanted to let you all know that between the two teams yesterday we raised over $800 for a great cause. So thank you and I look forward to doing another one next year and making it bigger and better.

Wednesday Practice

SOS Fund raiser

A correction on Wednesdays practice. JV/V will practice at 4 and the 1st team will practice at 3.
The players that are traveling to the scrimmage on Saturday will be notified on Thursday.
Just a reminder that this is the last week for the SOS fund raiser. It will end Sunday night at Midnight. We still have a lot of money to raise to reach our goal.

2nd Week Schedule

Hi All,
With tryouts over, the teams will now practice at separate times. 1st team will practice in the gym until their (Community Park) field is ready. Should the V/JV practice need to practice inside before the Community Park field is ready, 1st team will get the day off. On Monday there will be a meeting for all players in the locker room at 3:30. And as for the V/JV practice on Wednesday, I believe we will be going late because of a girls scrimmage at 4 that day. I will double check that tomorrow.

Squad Selection

And Saturday Practice

Players will find out tonight what squad they will be on. And I have checked the weather and we will have practice at 8:15 A.M. tomorrow morning. Players only need to bring clothes and shoes to run in. Weather.com reports the weather at 8 A.M. should be

Condition Showers & 37°F - Feels Like 33°F - Wind From N 5 mph.
So sweats/windpants and jackets are probably a good idea.
This practice is optional for 1st team players.

I checked with the school on Friday to see if we would be outside tomorrow and they cannot tell me until tomorrow but the field is clear. Please dress appropriately, sweats, both shoes to run in and practice in the gym or on the turf.

Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a double header scheduled for April 5th at Gillette Stadium to start @ noon. In the first match-up #19 Harvard hosts #6 Cornell followed by #8 Merrimack hosting #7 Bryant. I know I will be heading down. Hope to see you there. The games are free but they might charge for parking, but that is still to be determined.
There are tons of Maine kids playing in these games and Pete Toner from Kennebunk '99? is coaching for Bryant.

MS and HS Parent Meeting

Meet the Coach

This meeting is for the parents. Students need not attend. The Boosters will recap this year's activities and answer questions. Head Coach Joe Hezlep will talk about the upcoming season. There will be information about the MS program as well. So please bring your questions.
